Caring for pets is necessary, and we’re still here for you.
For the safety of our staff and clients, for now, we are offering curbside services to our clients. If your pet needs to be seen, a team member will meet you outside and you can wait in your car while we do an examination and will discuss options with you over the phone. We will bring your pet back outside to you when finished. All payments will be done over the phone to limiting the amount of contact between you and our staff, for everyone’s safety.
Please call ahead if your pet needs to be seen.

September is National Guide Dog Month. These special pups live to serve, protect and assist. Guide dogs, seeing eye dogs, service pets, and assistance animals are all considered service dogs.
Did you know that guide dogs are trained to display “intelligent disobedience?” This means they will refuse to obey a command from their owners if they see a danger their owners have missed, such as a car that ran a red light.
Pretty smart pups!
Fleas and tick prevention is an important part of being a pet parent.

To our valued clients,
As always, the health and safety of our clients, patients, team and our community continues to be a top priority. We wanted to let you know, we have decided to return to curbside service only at Maywood Veterinary Clinic in adherence to state and local guidelines to help control the spread of COVID-19 and protect everyone in our community. We will be continuing to practice social distancing, and require both our staff and clients to wear face mask protection.
At this time, we are handling all services through curbside service, including pet drop-offs, pick-ups, and prescription and diet refills. In order to improve our curbside service, we will be implementing webcams in our exam rooms as a way to connect with you via Google Meet while the veterinarian examines your pet.
Upon your arrival for your pet's appointment, please send a text message to (201) 646-5001 to let us know the following:
- Reason for your visit
- Your name and your pet's name
- Parking space that you are parked in
A staff member will then get back to you as quickly as possible on next steps. If you do not have texting capabilities, please give us a call at (201) 368-0607. Once your pet is ready to be checked out, we will virtually send you an invoice through email for payment.
We thank you for continuing to help us stay safe during this time, and we look forward to seeing you and your pet soon! Wishing safe and healthy days to come.
With gratitude,
The veterinarians and staff of Maywood Veterinary Clinic
