About

The Orthopaedic Center knows that a healthy body is something many of us take for granted until illness, injury, or the normal aging process threatens to take it all away. Suddenly, you become aware of things like bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves. Pain becomes a way of life. Fortunately, there is hope. At The Orthopaedic Center (TOC), we offer a full range of orthopaedic services to help relieve pain and restore your active lifestyle. Whether you’re a gardener who needs a hip replacement, an athlete with a torn ligament, or a worker who’s developed carpal tunnel syndrome, you can rely on the specialists at TOC to provide expert diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

Dr. Villamil is now 1 OF ONLY 2 spine surgeons in Oklahoma to use this innovative approach—a similar surgery performed on Tiger Woods. In fact, not only did the surgery take 1-2 hours instead of 6-7 traditionally, but his patient went home the next day—walking!! This method is frequently used to treat patients who are suffering from one or more fractured vertebrae, vertebral bone slippage, abnormal curvatures of the spine (scoliosis or kyphosis), protruding or degenerated discs, and areas of instability within the spine. DID YOU KNOW // Walking can be one of the best ways to get exercise and stay healthy. You can walk alone, with a pet, or with a partner – even a socially distant one if you walk at least 6 feet apart or on opposite sides of the street. You also can try chatting with someone on a hands-free device while walking. All you need is a good pair of shoes and a safe place to walk! Not only does it help you maintain a healthy weight, it also strengthens your bones and muscles, and improves your balance and coordination! It can even boost your mood and help you sleep better. How many calories do you think a 150lb person burns in one hour by walking? Any guesses?

The PCR test will take several days and is dependent on the amount of testing the lab has. If you have any concerns with your child please have them tested before the holidays. Keep holiday gatherings small and safe!
