Scenic van rides are always a fun change of pace, especially this time of year when the leaves start to change.
Fall wreath making at The Park Danforth is only one of the fun activities offered by our Life Enrichment department.
Preble Street have had generous donations of food, toiletries, and the like, but the individuals benefiting from those donations need bags to carry the items. For that reason The Park Danforth will be holding a one-day drive to collect new or gently used bags (with closures) to donate to Preble Street. Collection will take place October 1st from 10AM-2PM at The Park Danforth in a collection box placed in our foyer. For any questions please contact Albert at 207-797-7710.

Last week our residents participated in a University of New England Legacy Scholars Zoom program called Orchestrating Change: Billie Holiday’s “Strange Fruit”, and hosted by Wes Covey a UNE MSW student. The presentation looked at how a photograph of a lynching in Indiana led a Jewish schoolteacher in the Bronx to write a poem that would become one of the most important pieces of American musical history. We are looking forward to joining more UNE Legacy Scholars programming in the future.
