As Passover begins and Easter approaches, our team at The Perecman Firm, P.L.L.C. wishes you and yours the best! These holidays encourage us to recognize the rich history shared by people from different walks of life and to embrace the diversity of the place we call home, New York City. Following a year filled with so many challenges, the celebration of new life in spring also strengthens our hope for what’s to come in 2021 – and that’s something we can all get behind as we find our new normal.
March 25, 2021 marks the 110th Anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire (1911). This tragedy took the lives of 146 people, most of whom were young immigrant women workers, and spurred efforts to pass the labor and fire safety laws that continue to protect our working populations today.
Today, we honor the memories of those who passed and commemorate all those who have fought and continue to fight for better workplace safety, wages, and working conditions.
