In light of the recent "Stay at Home" orders, we wanted to let you know The Pet Spot was given clearance by the state to remain open as an essential business. We are staying open for our healthcare providers, first responders, and other individuals in our community who are working long hours and need pet care while they protect the public during this health crisis. We are taking extra precautions and adhering to the social distancing orders by closing our lobby and implementing curb-side pickup and drop-off to keep our employees and Pet Parents safe. Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD) is a serious disease affecting thousands of pets each year. The intervertebral disks serve as cushions between your pet’s spinal cord and their vertebrae, and in IVDD, those disks can degenerate. As that cushioning wears away, the disks can rupture and damage the spinal cord.

Coal is a 20+ pound BLACK terrier/poodle mix who went missing in Fairfax, OH on 10/21. He is 4 ½ years old and very timid. The most recent possible sighting was on 12/27 crossing Watterson in Fairfax. He may have traveled to a neighboring community, so please share this post within Fairfax and neighboring communities as we do not have access to NextDoor apps in those areas.
How can you help?
• Check under decks, in sheds, in garages, under tarps.
• Keep your eyes open for him. He travels at night and it is hard to see a small, black dog at night.
• If you have home security cameras and can check those, we would deeply appreciate it.
• Please share any found black dog sightings listed in NextDoor or on FB with me. Again, I don’t live in the area, so don’t have access to some sites.
Please call 513-813-6863 right away with any sign of him.
We have been given advice by animal rescue not to chase him. He is in survival mode and may run into the street or leave the area altogether. Instead, please note location, direction traveling, and take a picture. If you have food, sit on the ground and put the food near you to see if he will come to you.
We are so very grateful to everyone who has called the tip line and kept their eyes open for Coal. It is because of this collective support that we believe we will bring him home soon.

Sometimes we have to help our four legged friends out! Oakley landed himself in a cone (well he got neutered 🤪) and he really wanted his bone 🦴, so while he was dayboarding we made sure to give him bone breaks to chew his favorite bone! 😁
