Managing Seasonal Depression

We’re determined to keep residents and staff safe, so we follow CDC procedures and now use an exceptional surface disinfectant that kills the coronavirus in 4 minutes.
On fall equinox, the earth is halfway between summer’s peak and winter’s depth.
With a 4-minute kill time for the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus on surfaces, the botanical cleaning solution we use provides the effectiveness we need to keep our community safer.

Managing Stress While Caring For a Loved One
Daylight Saving Time ends, and you regain the hour given
up last spring. Use it wisely to celebrate the joys of life. We do. Even in these changing times, staff and residents find the moments of happiness and fulfillment. In the comments, tell us what gives you the greatest joy.
Congratulations to Shirley Smith, our Director of Dining Services, for successfully passing her ServSafe Food Manager certification renewal. The ServSafe Manager Certification verifies that Shirley has sufficient food safety knowledge to protect the public from foodborne illness. The ServSafe Manager Certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under the Conference for Food Protection Standards. We are so very proud of her!
Residents and staff excitedly received their first shots of the COVID-19 vaccine last week! Residents received goodies and prizes and it was a team effort getting them to the clinic area and back to their apartments.
Team members sported their 3Ws badges and bracelets to show their team spirit in the endeavor. Wear a mask, wash your hands, watch your distance.
We can’t wait for the 2nd clinic to finish up our vaccines.
Our residents watched intently as Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of our United States.
They especially loved Jennifer Lopez and her rendition of "This Land Is Your Land" and "America". When she started singing, one resident remarked, “Well, that is not what I expected her to sing, at all!”
They cheered on President Biden with their red, white and blue pom-poms chanting "USA, USA" and greatly enjoyed his inaugural address.
We're looking forward to tomorrow!
