Community post #8 goes out to our good friend Bruce! Bruce is a Washington County native who owns and practices law at The Poole Law Group in downtown Hagerstown! When he’s not busy fighting for and protecting the rights of his clients, you can find Bruce picking up 2 cappuccinos at Cannon, one for himself and one for his wife Kathleen of 28 years! Bruce loves this community by supporting numerous organizations like Brooke's House! When you see Bruce walking downtown, give him a big high-five for fighting the good fight!

Thank you to all of those at Bridge to Change (Reach of Washington County) and the City of Hagerstown who have been involved in getting this program up and running! It's been a positive and purposeful change for the program participants and our downtown streets are looking much better.

Bridge to Change was featured on Baltimore's Fox 45 last night. We have been in discussion with Baltimore to start a similar program there as we know it would significantly benefit their homeless and city. Our collaboration with The City of Hagerstown - Municipal has helped us support individuals towards independence and is making a difference in our city!
We are thankful for the grants, sponsors, and private donations we have received to make this program possible. #workingtogetherforourcommunity
Grants: CDBG, Wegman's
Sponsors: JLG Industries, AC&T, The Fulton Bank

The firm is filling up the sleigh for the annual Christmas Holiday Ham Drive serving residents in the Wheaton Park and Jonathan Street neighborhoods! The annual drive is coordinated between the City of Hagerstown and Bethel Gardens Community Center.
Due to the heavy interstate corridor that runs through the Hagerstown area (the intersection of I-70 and I-81) and around the metropolitan beltways (I-495, I-695) of Maryland, there are a large number of semi trucks on the road on a daily basis. This density of trucks unfortunately leads to an increased number of truck accidents. Truck accidents can be especially devastating due to the size of the truck, and in some cases the weight of the cargo it may be carrying. This video outlines some of the major differences between truck and car crashes. For additional resources on what to do if you've been in a truck accident, please visit our webpage at https://www.poolelg.com/library/what-to-do-if-you-ve-been-in-a-truck-crash.cfm
