I got this piece of TRASH in the mail this morning & I must address it.
DUMBASSES OF MISSISSIPPI: no one wants to take all their hard earned money & dreams and open a dispensary next to your beloved elementary school or playground so that they can tempt your innocents’ minds with the devil’s lettuce.
1. There would be more thought put into best placement for ACCESS & SUCCESS for the dispensary 🙄 Tucked in a neighborhood or next to a school makes zero sense.
2. There are ALREADY community & shopping center rules & guidelines put into place not allowing “head shops” / dispensaries within certain parameters of homes / churches / public places.

3. This is the most selfish piece of paper I have seen in a long time & if you claim yourself to have empathy / love for your fellow man— you need to rethink your priorities. There are literally people dying / suffering daily with debilitating issues that could majorly enhance their quality of life with medical marijuana as an option.
We want the opportunity to bring MEDICAL Marijuana to the folks desperately in NEED of relief. We want to help NATURALLY stop 4yo Sara’s seizures. We want to help James, a brother, husband, father of four, to get his appetite back and relieve some pain as he goes through Chemo treatments. We want those going to war in their minds due to mental illness to find some relief and hope. How dare you use this fear mongering bull to strip this opportunity from your “community.”

This week ended in pure magic. ✨ Tonight I am grateful for a gorgeous bride & friend who pushed me to be true to my aesthetic & talents. Grateful for a couple who was always willing to allow my creativity to flow freely. I am grateful for friends & employees so quick to lend a hand and talk me up. I am grateful for a family who waited patiently and cheered me on as I worked tirelessly & then welcomed me home into loving arms. I am grateful for a body & mind that ran on dry shampoo, espresso, & lunchables since Wednesday. This beautiful project has been two years in the making and I am so grateful for the opportunity to see it come to life on this Halloween night. This is dreaming+ stressing+ loving+ crying+ grooving+ bleeding+ creating+ sweating... (definitely no sleeping 😂)... this is wedding work. I feel reborn and inspired & am definitely looking forward to new projects!

Good morning! I wanted to take this moment to be super transparent with my customers. Y’all know that small businesses have been climbing an uphill battle since March of this year. We’ve all poured our hopes & dreams & blood & tears into building these little tidbits of ourselves that we open up to the community and ask you humbly to allow us to serve you. We’ve hidden our worry behind masks and social media posts in efforts of keeping the feelings of failure & stress & devastation at bay. It is hard, but we are still blessed—Blessed with the opportunity to have even tried a small business—Blessed that our struggles are nothing compared to some bigger-picture issues in our world today.
The Prickly Hippie is hanging in there. She’s my girl and first baby and LITERALLY A DREAMMM COME TRUE for me. She’s also a skeleton of her former self, but I’m building her back up. I just want y’all to know that currently, we have the least employees we’ve ever had— and I have minor assistance in the kitchen. Its mostly, solely me from 6:00AM-8:00PMish. Then, I still have e-mails and Custom Orders and Holiday Pre-Sales and website and social media and Chronic Peace Co. I’m doing my best to prioritize, but I go home defeated most nights because some of y’all are still waiting for me— waiting for an email response, waiting for a specific pastry in the case, waiting for us to have more case cakes. My heart wants every customer to feel seen and heard and fulfilled, and I am struggling to keep up. On a personal level, I have a family and three year old daughter and my own private life that I feel only gets to see me on Sundays, at the moment. I signed up for this. I knew how hard business can be. But I am coming to you this morning to ask that you please show us some grace. We won’t (can’t) be as stocked as we used to, specialty items like Gluten-Free & Keto & Vegan take way more commitment of time and I can’t promise those items daily, right now. Custom cakes & email correspondences take hours to complete and I’m doing my best... I just want y’all to know I am REALLY trying daily to continue to meet your expectations & requests.
Here’s what you should know: - we are basically booked until Mid-January for custom cakes. You’re welcome to submit an inquiry, but I can’t promise fulfillment and can’t even promise e-mail correspondence, at this time. (We still have some room to fulfill some custom donut / macaron / cupcake orders!) -We stock the case / case cakes/ extras as quickly and as often as possible at the moment. -If we’re out of your go-to, please try something new from us! ❤️ -I don’t know if I will get any decorated sugar cookies out this holiday season and -I definitely can’t fulfill any decorated cookie custom orders this year 😭. —WE WILL HAVE DECORATE YOUR OWN COOKIE KITS & HOLIDAY CAKES AVAILABLE STARTING NEXT WEEK!— I have super stocked both Prickly Hippie AND Chronic Peace Co. With some BOMB AWESOME products for this gift-giving season ... PLEASE consider us for non-edible stocking stuffers & specialty, heart-felt giving. We’d love to tell you about our products & wares.

Do you guys know why this is called our Kristen Sprinkled Donut? @kristen_ley has been an inspiration/role model-turned-friend since I moved to Jackson. I was introduced to her brand @thimblepress and was SO INSPIRED—She had a storefront in the heart of Jackson, stuck strongly to her faith, was a female-owned business that was unique all to her own design/ideas, & was open and honest about the entire process. Honestly, she single-handedly helped me believe I could do a PHip storefront. She was a REAL WOMAN living her dream and I had only really ever read about those kind of women— never did I think I’d be welcomed into her perfectly styled apartment & prayed over & cheered on. ANYWAY, one of her best selling products is her push-pop confetti (we sell in our store, btw—swipe right to see!) and she created her own unique blend of confetti. It is perfect and cute and fun and SO AESTHETICALLY pleasing. When I began my donut journey, I found myself making my own blend of sprinkles for the perfect look for our donut. All of a sudden, it hit me that it reminded me of Kristen, her confetti, her story, her faith, her BUSTIN HER ASS to make it in this world as a PHENOMENAL brand. So, here she is, my little ode to someone that inspired me much more than I think she knows— The Kristen Sprinkled Donut.✨
