This is a very well written article that every Northwestern Mutual client should read. Working with an advisor that has a fiduciary duty to their clients is essential. These companies apparently don't care about the people they serve as much as they care about the amount of revenue they can generate from each client. Unfortunately, this will cause them to lose a large number of their most talented advisors, whose fiduciary duty conflicts with the principles of the large firms they are contracted to.
