Governor Gavin Newsome Released a New California Homestead Exemption Amount 💸
- The bill protects numerous homeowners by increasing the California homestead to an amount that would keep most homes from creditors.
-The bill increases the California homestead to the greater of $300,000 or median sales price in the county where the single-family home is located in the prior year, though this cannot exceed $600,000.
- The homestead exemption protects a part of the equity of a homeowner’s home in the event the debtor files a consumer or business bankruptcy, or if a creditor requests that the house be sold to pay a judgment.

MSDs are a form of repetitive motion injuries, which are also called overuse or repetitive stress injuries. When you perform the same action over and over again, you are at risk for getting seriously hurt. Workers between the ages of 18 and 24 report the highest rates of work-related MSD injuries.
Some conditions of MSD are:
- Tendonitis
- Rotator cuff tendonitis
- Tendon or muscle strain
- Herniated or ruptured disk
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
When you successfully apply for workers’ compensation benefits, you are securing financial stability that will support you through the recovery process. Getting those benefits is not easy though, so it is generally much better to work with an attorney who is experienced with the California workers’ compensation system.
Knowing when an estate plan should be revisited is part of the estate planning process. Beneficiary designations in a retirement or insurance plan are controlling so they need to be kept up-to-date at all times.
