Attorney Joe Golden represents Jacqueline Harrison, who was terminated from her employment because she suffers from a torn ACL. When Ms. Harrison was terminated, her employer told her that the reason for her termination was because of her ACL, which makes it difficult for her to walk and kneel. Because this violates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), The Sharp Firm sued Ms. Harrison’s employer. The employer filed a motion to dismiss the case at the trial court level, which was granted. The trial court held that Ms. Harrison was not disabled under the ADA. Joe Golden & Syeda Davidson appealed this decision, arguing that this conclusion was erroneous. The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed, and reversed the dismissal of Ms. Harrison’s case. We are eager to try her case before a jury and vindicate her unlawful termination.
