CDC Releases Information On
COVID-19 & Hot Tubs
Valued Customers and Neighbors,
With the amount of COVID-19 cases increases we wanted to take a moment to communicate with you, our valued customers, the news on whether it can be transmitted in pools and hot tubs. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have released guidance regarding water transmission and COVID-19.
According to the CDC, there is NO evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tub should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.
