Happy Monday! If you have seen some new faces, it's because we are growing. This week, we are introducing Alyssa Wisler. Alyssa has been with the Vision Development Team since October 2020, but has worked in the vision therapy field since 2015. Born and raised in Michigan, she recently moved to the Cleveland area. In her free time she enjoys hiking, reading, baking and spending time with family and friends. "I am excited to be a part of a team that shares the same passion in helping change the lives of their patients," Alyssa. Right now she is splitting time between the Beachwood and North Royalton offices! Alyssa has a background in Child and Family Development where she studied at Western Michigan University. Always having a passion for working with children and families, Alyssa first discovered vision therapy when a child of a family she was a nanny for had gone through a vision therapy program. From there her interest sparked and she began her first job as an optometric vision therapist in 2015. Through continued training and education, Alyssa achieved the requirements and became a certified optometric vision therapist in 2018. Born a Michigander, Alyssa feels at right home living along the shore of Lake Erie. She enjoys the beautiful parks that Ohio has to offer for hiking. When she is not working you can find you her spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, working out and cheering for her Michigan team, the Spartans. Alyssa has a never ending love for gaining new knowledge which, only enhances her ability to help each individual patient, as every case is unique. Alyssa enjoys connecting with her patients and helping them learn to trust the therapy, so they can experience changes in their overall quality of life. “Choose a job that you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” -Confucius
