Introducing Bentley and his new puppy. At 2 years old and with surgeries already under his belt for his cleft lip, Bentley found his match today in this tiny pup who also has a cleft lip.
They instantly loved each other. ❤️❤️❤️ We wish many years of joy as this special pair grow up together!

You need Bruno in your life! This handsome boy is an 1-year-old German Shepherd mix🐶🐾❤️ Thanks to volunteers Lexie and Regina for the awesome photos!
Bruno came to the Shelter after his previous owner passed away. He had lived successfully with a female dog about the same size as him in his previous home. Bruno has enjoyed hanging out with staff and volunteers during his time at the Shelter but ultimately, would love to hang out in his forever home. Bruno's adopter should be proactive about mentally and physically stimulating him. Bruno has demonstrated that he is very agile. He would be a great dog to do agility and dog sports with. His agile nature can also make it very easy for him to jump a fence that is shorter than 6 feet. Bruno should not be outdoors unattended to ensure that he is safely secured at home, especially in the transition. Bruno met a very energetic, enthusaistic intact male Malinois at the Shelter. He was very tolerant of the other dog's enthusiastic interaction and corrected him appropriately when he had had enough. A home with another dog may be a fit for Bruno provided they meet at the Shelter and get along. Kids may be appropriate for Bruno. He should not got to a home home with small animals, cats, or livestock, as he has shown prey drive. Bruno is a fun dog who is looking to be someone's sidekick. If you are an active person looking for a companion - Bruno is your guy!
Adoptions are first come, first served! Please view available animals on our website at www.scanimalshelter.org (link in bio) and then visit the Shelter at 1001 Rodriguez St. in Santa Cruz to turn in your application. All adoptions require proof of home ownership or landlord approval. Please have this information prepared. If an animal is in Foster Care, please bring in your adoption application and schedule an appointment to meet the animal. Please call 831-454-7200. We are open seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm.
