Our final day of celebration for our residents included delivery of a fortune cookie package and breakfast snacks for carry out.
Yesterday was a very busy day to prepare for music and special luncheon for our residents, but it was a huge success. Thanks to Jim Lucy for an hour of wonderful music and for Burkey's Catering for a delicious meal.
I went live on Facebook with the music and we served 35 residents to a Philly steak sandwich, corn pudding, baked beans and dessert.
Residents enjoyed the bingo game......

Thank you to MercyOne nurses, especially Melissa, for setting up a flu clinic at our building. They serviced 21 residents. My residents are very grateful that they didn't have to go out to get their flu shot.
Just finished my last delivery of donated knitted and crocheted scarves, gloves and hats made by our residents and family. Always feels good to give back.
Residents are busy creating crocheting and or sewing items for donations. We found that hats, mittens, scarves as well as other items are in need.
Thank you, residents.
A resident's daughter and her grandchildren made these luminaries for each apartment. What a thoughtful gift. Thank you.

Elves were at work again. Luminaries placed on the residents' doors.
Holiday lunch officially served. Menu included prime rib sandwiches, crab pasta salad, raw veggies and dip, broccoli cheese soup, holiday cake balls, coyote droppings.
Definitely a holiday feast.
Winter can beautiful.
Charlie the Elf was not happy with the picture I posted earlier. He said it wasn't his best pose!
