He has expertise in neuromodulation, which involves stimulation or administration of medications directly to the nervous system for therapeutic purposes.
After earning his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, Dr. Eckman completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He gained additional expertise during his fellowship in pain management at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
Dr. Eckman is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, North American Neuromodulation Society, and American Medical Association.
