Dr. Poulos was born and raised in Chicago, completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University, and taught high school math in Louisiana and San Diego prior to making a career switch to medicine. She moved to the Bay Area to attend medical school at UCSF, and then to Los Angeles for residency training with the UCLA Family Medicine Residency Program. She loved Southern California and UCLA, so stayed on board and is now part of the UCLA Century City team. She enjoys taking care of patients of all ages and with diverse needs. She has particular interest and experience in adolescent health, women's health, procedures, and providing care for transgender and gender non-conforming patients. As a former teacher, caring for kids and adolescents is also a mainstay of her practice. Achieving health through fitness and lifestyle is a personal priority for her, and something which she interweaves in her approach to patient care.
