Sending huge thanks to our friends at The Timken Company and The Timken Foundation of Canteen for their generous donation of $100,000 for a refrigerated truck for the Food Bank. Our COO, Mike Luke, is pictured with Plant Manager Jonathan Waller, who presented the gift.
On his way to the Timken Plant in Gaffney, SC for a luncheon, Mike was caught in traffic from a major wreck and was in the car for hours. He was in communication with our friends at the plant, and they told him to get there when he could. He arrived late in the day, and they were kind enough to wait for him.
This new addition to our fleet will help us get fresh fruit, veggies, meat, and dairy to some of our over 800 partner agencies in the Upstate of South Carolina. THANK YOU, TIMKEN!
