Hello. We are a fun urban market with hundreds of icy cold beverages, beer, wine & more. Serving made to order sausages, dogs and breakfast burritos.
Tucked behind the post office on 5th Street is Thirsty Dog 2 Go which combines a wonderful hot dog stand with a super convenient urban market! Right in the door, the employees will make you feel welcome as does the memorabilia displayed from high ceilings, original brick walls & concrete floors re-purposed from the original post office with neon beer signs, an old sled, skateboards – funky relics from the past, nostalgic and unique. In the mornings you’ll find made-to-order breakfast burritos and a hot cup of coffee. Anytime of the day catch current ESPN Sports and really cold iced-down drinks from the open cooler while your Hot Dog is being prepared. The dogs and sausages are quality: Vienna Beef, Italian, Four Peaks Kilt Lifter, soaked Beer Brats, and even Veggie Dogs for our vegetarian friends (we all have at least one, right?). Pick your dog toppings, two are included with the “Specialty Dogs”.
We have hundreds of drinks, athletic, sports, energy–you name it, with fountain drinks, slushies, and ice cream for those heated days. Thirsty Dog also sells loads of snacks, candy, juices, cigarettes, t-shirts, sunglasses, and of course great labels in BEER &WINE, and just about anything you gotta have–convenient–5th & Mill!
Thirsty Dog 2 Go is also a Village Post Office. We provide selected postal products and services, including Forever stamps and Priority Mail Flat Rate packages and envelopes.
On behalf of the boys at Thirsty Dog, thank you for supporting a Tempe original, locally owned business – they are anxious to get to know you, so drop on in! Don’t forget they’re open till 2pm on Friday & Saturday evenings. Are you THIRSTY?
