Dr. Sehlinger has a Bachelor’s degree in political science, a Master’s degree in anatomy and a medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at the University of Louisville, conducting research and publishing articles on the history and development of orthopedic implant devices. He was honored with the Gerhard Kuntscher Award for outstanding teaching resident 1993- 1994 and the Orthopedic Residents Research Award. He has written publications on the Separation of Fuchsian Homologs using High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Thin Layer of Commercial Samples of AmidoBlack. He has served numerous terms on the Clark Memorial Hospital Surgical Review Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and Foundation Board.
