Emergency nurses save lives. Thank them during #ENWeek #HeartOfGold
On October 2, 2020, Michigan’s Supreme Court ruled that Gov. Gretchen Whitmer lacks the authority to extend or declare states of emergency in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the Supreme Court decision, on October 5, 2020, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued an emergency order restricting gathering sizes, requiring face coverings in public spaces and other limitations that are venue specific. In response to these actions and in accordance with the MDHHS Executive Order, Oaklawn will be maintaining current policies and procedures that ensure the safety of our staff, patients, and community. Masks will continue to be required in our facilities and visitation policies will still be limited until further notice. If you have any questions regarding coronavirus or would like to be screened, please contact our COVID hotline at (269) 789-7614.

During the COVID-19 health emergency, home care and hospice aides, nurses and therapists have marshaled their unique skills and capacity for caring to help patients amid new fears, anxieties and intensified needs.
