Whoever said diamonds are a girls best friend, has never learned martial arts 💎 Here’s a simple fact: young girls and women need to know how to defend themselves. Whether she’s in a school hallway, coming home from her job in Manhattan late at night, going to get a coffee, or out with friends, she must take those steps with confidence. And as that confidence grows - and she takes it into the classroom or the boardroom - watch her triumph.

🔎 Trust us, we aren’t thrilled about having these on the mat. But our top priority will always be safety and ensuring students and parents have peace of mind. Right now physical barriers are one of the most effective exposure prevention methods. We piloted these this week and there was no impact on class experience or curriculum interruption 🎉 We CAN and WILL continue to level up on the mat in ALL WAYS! Osu!

2021 🎆 HERE WE COME.
This year, we're in a fight. We won Round 1 in the Spring. Now, as we head into Round 2, we want you all to know that we will never throw in the towel. We will never tap out. We will always find a way. Always.
In the face of such a hard year on the surface, today more than ever, we have so much to be thankful for. It’s easy to dwell on the adversity of 2020 but in reality, the amount of gratefulness and gratitude we feel today is immense.
.
We are thankful for our students and parents. When we needed you most, you supported us without question. You saved us. You never lost faith in our ability to continue to deliver on our promises to you and your children, and day in and day out, you put your trust in us. Whether we needed to try a new virtual medium, or implement a new safety measure, or revamp the entire curriculum to train, you showed up for us every - single - day. For that, no words will ever be able to express our deepest gratitude.
.
We are thankful for our incredible staff. This was a year of crazy transition, learning, pivoting, preparation, trial & error. We never wavered - not once - because of your support and hard work. We have the strongest team, the best culture, and incredible friendships. We couldn’t have made it to November without you. We have another battle ahead, but with this team, we know there is nothing we can’t handle.
.
We are thankful to our right hand man, Joshu Ricky. You stepped up HUGE this year like you were born to teach martial arts and lead our students to success. If there was a gap, you filled it. You earned your Black Belt and Joshu during quarantine because of your commitment and love for our students and for your art. There is no TGL without you. We love you.
.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our families and your loved ones. Stay safe and healthy, and know we are here for all of you, always. Osu! - Sensei Pace & Britt
