I believe that relationships and stories matter more than data in the electronic health record. I strive to create an environment of mutual trust and respect so that my patients feel comfortable talking about their health issues. Building these relationships allows us to make decisions about the treatment options that best fit their lives.
I became an obstetrician because I wanted to combine my love of science with the ability to treat disease and alleviate suffering. My life has been influenced by many wise women whose words I've listened to carefully and whose examples guide me in my work.
My goal is for my patients and their families to live a happy, healthy and high-functioning life. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to help people with sensitive problems at vulnerable and frightening moments. I am fortunate to wake up every day and know that the work ahead of me is worthwhile!
