Hi Everyone, hope you're all coming though this ok. We've opened the shop back up on a limited scale. To avoid any direct contact with our customers we're asking that you use our early bird envelopes outside our door. Write down what needs to be done and a phone # where we can reach you. Drop the envelope with your key in it through our mail slot and we'll call you to discuss what you would like us to do. We're asking that you give us a call to set up an appointment 858-541-0852
Thank you!
Hi All,
Out of concern for you, our customers, and our employees, we've temporarily closed the shop as of Monday, March 23.
We're actually considered an essential industry but I felt we needed to hit the pause button, decompress a bit and think about how to proceed.
We're currently considering ideas that would allow us to safely work on your vehicles.
A few questions for you:
1. Would you mind if we sanitize the surfaces inside your car that we would be coming in contact with? The disinfecting wipes we use contain Bleach and may not be very friendly to leather steering wheels and gear shift levers.
2. We're considering not having any direct contact with our customers. You could drop your keys in one of our early-bird envelopes outside the door and we'd contact and take payment from you by phone. How do you feel about this?
3. What plans do you have for your car maintenance or repair? I have a feeling that there won't be much of a demand for our services if people are hunkered down and not using their cars.
I would love to hear your ideas.
Stay healthy my friends!
Jim
Quick, who do you think makes the least expensive cars to maintain?
Spoiler alert, our customers won't be surprised.

The Most and Least Expensive Cars to Maintain
Throwback Thursday. A pair of red 2nd generation MR2's in the shop today.
The "Check" light on an '08 Tundra was on indicating a problem with the variable valve timing system. The customer had recently had the oil & filter changed at one of the quick oil change places. We found that it was caused by low oil pressure due to this aftermarket oil filter collapsing and restricting oil flow. You should be able to see through the center of the filter but it's almost completely blocked. This cheap aftermarket part nearly destroyed the engine. The factory Toyota filter costs $5.41.
A new Tacoma is finally on the way!
