A sore throat is another that’s no fun, allergies can cause a post nasal drip which can irritate your throat and can also lead to bad breath. We know flossing isn’t the most enjoyable task out there but it is one of the best things you can do to protect your teeth! Flossing will help clear out the harmful bacteria in between your teeth that can cause periodontitis, bad breath, and cavities. So we recommend flossing atleast once a day and brushing twice! In a conversation earlier this week the topic of what’s being called “Mask Mouth” came up and one of the biggest effects of it is dry mouth. With Easter weekend coming up we’ve seen the shelves at every grocery store lined up with sweet temptation, but here are some tips to keep your teeth and your kiddos teeth healthy!
- When giving your child chocolate give it in small portions so it won’t sit in the mouth for a long period of time
- After eating any sweets rinse your mouths out with water
- Wait one hour before brushing your teeth after eating sweets
- Try sugar free candies
- Cut off sweets a couple hours before bed time so the sugars don’t sit in the mouth and cause cavities
And remember if there is any tooth pain we are here to take care of you!!
