Toni Beninato, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Endocrine Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is an Assistant Attending Surgeon at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and an Attending Surgeon at New York Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. She is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. Dr. Beninato attended New York University, where she graduated with honors in 2004. She earned her medical degree in 2008 from Rutgers/New Jersey Medical School where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. She then completed internship and residency at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, dedicating two years to performing endocrine oncology research. She served as Administrative Chief Resident during her final year of residency. She then completed a fellowship in endocrine surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. She has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles, written several book chapters, and given multiple national presentations in the field of endocrine surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, the Association for Academic Surgery and the Association of Women Surgeons.
