A mechanical engineer named Anjan Contractor is currently developing a 3D printer that can print actual pizzas. He recently received a $125,000 grant from NASA to further his research.
One of the most fascinating pieces of pizza history (pun intended) comes to us from Alexandre Dumas, author of the Three Musketeers, who traveled to Naples in 1835. This is when he observed lower income Neapolitan families consuming a watermelon-based diet in the summer and a pizza-based diet in winter!
