Have you decided on this year's Halloween costume? For most costumes, makeup is the most essential part! Here are some tips to help you avoid eye irritation or infection when using makeup:
Billions of people around the world experience vision problems because they don’t have access to the proper eyecare & glasses. Most of these vision impairments could have been avoided had they been diagnosed & treated early on by an eye doctor. When was the last time you had an eye exam? Make sure to get annual eye exams and encourage your family, friends, and colleagues to do so as well! #HopeInSight YOUTUBE.COM www.youtube.com
Try these simple tips to keep your glasses fog-free! - Wear a mask that fits snugly around your nose. - Place a folded tissue under your mask, right at the bridge of your nose, to absorb the moisture. - Ask us about anti-fog sprays and wipes!
October is Eye Injury Prevention Month! Each year, thousands are affected by eye injuries, the majority of which could have been prevented by wearing proper protective eyewear & taking simple precautions. Believe it or not, half of eye injuries occur in our very homes!
Now that face masks are part of our everyday wardrobe, you may notice your eyes getting a little dryer than usual. Eye injuries are more likely to happen at home than anywhere else. Home cleaning, yard work, or even just playing with the kids puts you at risk for an eye injury. Make sure to wear the proper protective eyewear when handling chemicals, flying debris, and dust particles.
Blue light is the highest energy visible light on the UV spectrum, and prior to the advent of technology, the sun was our only significant source of blue light. Problems arise, however, with the amount of blue light to which we are exposing our brains and bodies, potentially causing undue stress to our eyes and even making it hard to sleep at night. Give your eyes a break. Close your laptop time after time, for a minute or two-- Or grab some blue light blocking lenses! We can customize any style of frame and lens prescription with blue light blocking technology.
Scary things happen on Halloween... don't let an eye infection be the scariest! Decorative contacts are a great addition to any costume, but when used without a valid prescription, they may seriously harm your eyes & vision. Contact us to get safely fitted & enjoy a healthy and fun Halloween.

Happy Friday and have a great weekend!
Despite the pandemic this year, there are so many things to be grateful for: our wonderful patients, family, and friends—to name a few. Enjoy this time with loved ones and delight in the amazing feast. We wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
Pink or blue? It’s up to you!! Seeing clearly is, too. Come visit us! #katespade
Wash your hands with soap and water before handling contact lenses. Place 1 lens in the palm of your hand, add a generous amount of solution, and gently rub with your finger for about 10 seconds in order to remove any buildup on the lens. Then, rinse the lens with solution. Repeat with the 2nd lens — and ta-da! They’re ready to wear!
When you @Google "Inventor of contact lenses", two people pop up… Adolf Gaston Eugen Fick and Otto Wichterle. While Dr. Fick is often recognized for the discovery of contact lenses in the 1800s, they were made from glass and quite uncomfortable. Fast forward to 1958 when Otto, a chemist, developed the first soft lens and granted all the details to Bausch and Lomb in 1960. And the rest... is history. #InventorsDay https://bit.ly/2YxwR3W GOOGLE.COM inventor of contact lenses - Google Search

You can see clearly once the Ray's are on.
You may be surprised to hear this-- and it is something to remember! If any chemical, like a household cleaning supply, gets into your eye, avoid general eye drops to help soothe. Instead, use lukewarm tap water or contact lens saline rinse, and don't hesitate to seek emergency medical assistance!
Carrots give you amazing eyesight, especially at night. Fact or Fiction? This idea was planted during WWII and it is true-- to a certain extent. While carrots are filled with vitamins and antioxidants to help you #maintain eyesight they do not actually #improve your vision or help you see in the dark. Eat them anyway!
