Soccer is the most popular sport in Ghana, and that is especially true at the Care Center, where our children play almost every day! Being involved in sports is a good way to burn off energy and promote teamwork.

At Touch A Life, we pride ourselves on developing customized holistic care plans for each child, and this includes knowing what each of our children hope to be when they grow up. Jonathan is one of our college students, and from a very young age he has always expressed an interest in learning to become a pilot. Recently Jonathan was able to take an exciting aviation class with one of our cherished supporters, Brad White, who is a pilot for American Airlines. Read on to hear about this exciting opportunity!

In January 2020, we opened a primary school on site at the Care Center—this was such an exciting development for us! Our school exists to customize each formerly trafficked child’s education needs using Social-Emotional learning curriculum. We continue to focus on providing our children with the skills necessary for academic and life success.

We love what Godisking had to say about facing the global pandemic in Ghana. The Touch A Life children remind us that all things can be rescued, restored, and renewed.
“The outbreak of COVID-19 brought about strict restrictions, and that was quite difficult to deal with, but now we are living a normal life with these regulations because we have come to understand that our safety is the first priority.” — Godisking
Gideon is one of the oldest students in Touch A Life’s care, and it has been an absolute gift to watch him grow and mature over the years. Gideon was rescued in 2009 alongside his brother Gershon, and both boys have grown into leaders at the Care Center’s campus.
Gideon is currently in his third year of college in Ghana, and he has always vocalized his dream about becoming the president of Ghana someday—you can see him talk about his goal in this Touch A Life video from 2013 shown here https://clipchamp.com/watch/CRKOYSJ106n
We are so supportive of Gideon and his ambitions!
