As of today - the kitchen floor is done!!! I wrapped up the remaining lauan first - then installed the flooring in the area leading to the basement and the laundry room. I have one final strip to complete - but we need to get the plumbing and the dryer ac plug installed first. My dad got the dryer vent re-installed then got the new dishwasher installed and hooked up. Got a couple pieces of base trim down on the sides of the dishwasher and stove - then we leveled the stove and set that back as well.
Tomorrow I head out to paint the deck railing - but rain is in the forecast for Fri/Sat so I may wait till next week and stay inside to finish the kitchen trim work for the base molding.
The floors look amazing - an amazing product for sure; and so easy to work with. Even with tricky cuts and angles, it is easy to make it right and looking fantastic!!!

Since we had bad storms rolling through the area today (it rained all day) - my dad and I moved inside to work in the kitchen today.
First on the agenda was to build up the existing floor to meet up with the original hardwood floors. We used 1/8” lauan (underlayment plywood) and secured that to the existing floor. Then we installed our Core Logic Flooring - went with the Luxe Plank waterproof flooring in the Wildwood Crest color. Simple and easy to install and it looks great with the new cabinets - tying everything together! Turned out awesome thus far - we got about 1/2 way done!
Had a couple tricky cuts around the office door - but nothing major. Tomorrow we finish up the rest of the kitchen and head into the laundry room. Will have to pause there until we get the washing machine pluming upgraded and switched around.
It is starting to come together!!!!
