We've extended our partnership with Kids Bowl Free all the way until December!
This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this season.
Youth 16 and under, are eligible to register for 2 free games each day of the KBF program, all season long ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FREE, courtesy of the participating bowling centers along with the schools and organizations.
Even better: The Family Pass allows for 2 GAMES of bowling per day, per adult family member for up to 4 family members all fall long! This one-time payment of $29.95 is great for older siblings, parents, or grandparents. Spend time with your children at the center this fall and have a blast.
As you all know, the Santiam Canyon Fire and other fires here in the PNW have destroyed many homes and displaced many families here in the Salem/Keizer area.
Many of these families are being housed locally in places like the Oregon State Fairgrounds and surrounding hotels. Donations and items have been streaming in to support these displaced families through the Red Cross and United Way. They've received a lot of food, clothing, and bedding, but there are alot of families that are needing the entertainment to help keep them occupied and provide some relief during this time.
We thought this would be a perfect opportunity for Valor Mentoring to invite those families down to The REC for free bowling and other entertainment.
We're actively seeking out connections and families to hand out free passes to. If you know of a displaced family who could benefit from some free entertainment:
• Send them down to The REC here in Keizer (just off of the main River Road here)
• Have them call The REC ((503) 390-2221 Option 1) to arrange a pickup of a gift card
We're also gathering new, unopened board game, card game, and puzzle sets to hand out at recovery sites. If you'd like to partner with us, bring them down to The REC!
Hey, friends! We're now back to regular bowling hours! Leagues and tournaments have started back up, and we've soft opened the Town & Country Cafe and Coffeebar, with the menu expanding here in a few weeks.
We're still under mask, distancing, and capacity mandates, so please continue to use the booking system and help keep up a safe environment. Thanks, and we hope to see you down at The REC!
-the families and employees of The REC
We want bowling and activities that happen at The REC to be fun and safe for everyone. According to OHA Guidelines, all employees and customers are required to wear masks at all times, except during the consumption of food, and also maintain at least six (6) feet of physical distance between parties. This includes during gameplay on the bowling approaches. There are no exceptions. We encourage customers to bring their own masks or face shields. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you. Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to having you at The REC.
Hey Friends,
Over the next 5 weeks or so, we’ll be in the process of putting a much-needed brand new roof on the building, during which time the air conditioning won’t be able to run at full power.
As you can imagine, this means that towards the evening the temperature inside the building exceeds the temperature outside, and that doesn’t make for a very fun time for anyone.
We want to give you the best bowling experience and we just can’t do that when it’s 85 degrees inside the building. For this reason, we have decided to temporarily limit our hours to 12pm to 6pm, all week until September.
We apologize for the inconvenience but rest assured we will be running regular hours come September. In a few weeks, we’ll be relaunching the Town & Country Cafe as well as debuting our new coffee bar, so there will still be an opportunity to come and hang out with us!
Thanks for all your support during this interesting season.
