About Mary K.
Licensed psychotherapist Mary K. Tatum, MS, LMHC, serves the communities in and around Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at her practice, Tranquil Soul Counseling. With over a decade of experience, Mary K. helps patients address mental health issues and resolve problems ranging from anxiety and stress to weight loss and the other challenges presented by life.
Mary K. earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia. She went on to earn a dual master’s degree in mental health and marriage and family counseling, which included training in individual, couples, and group therapy at Palm Beach Atlantic University in Palm Beach, Florida.
She has also completed two short-term international internships in Cape Town, South Africa, and the Dominican Republic, where she studied cultural diversity and religion. Mary K. has also completed specialized training in therapeutic techniques, including psychodynamic techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques.
Mary K. helps children, adults, and families reach their full potential with customized counseling services in a welcoming, safe environment. She also works with veterans and their families who are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and returning to civilian life.
Mary K. is also available for public speaking and has a new book out, “Thankful to Be a Daddy’s Girl.”
