Ready to kick 2020 to the curb? So are we! Here's a little inspiration if you need a nudge to get out of dodge and hit the refresh button. What does your 'fresh start' look like? Post your goals in the comment section below!
It's Manic Monday at 22&Co. Everything is half-off all day. Come for a fresh cocktail served by a fun bartender in an atmosphere where tutus, unicorns, and flamingos are highly regarded! Kick-start your New Year's week Key West style. ๐
It's the perfect time to take a hiatus to Key West! Temps in the low 70's, low humidity, and sunny skies await you this time of year! Not to mention, we have our Wellness Package going on right now. Check it out on our website! https://www.travelerspalm.com/specials.htm
Looking for something a bit different? Have a car while you're in town? Consider a day trip to Sammy Creek Landing - Sugarloaf Key, approximately 17 miles from Key West. There is a plethora of activities to do including kayaking, fishing, wildlife viewing, sunbathing and more. To make things even better, a recent sighting of a Flamingo occurred there. It's definitely worth the trip!

Have a government ID? Ever been to Sigsbee Park? Also known as Dredgers Key, Sigsbee Park is an island located about 1/2 mile N of Key West. Part of the KW Naval Air Station, it is primarily used for Navy housing. There are several bar & grill establishments on the island, featured here is Sunset Lounge Bar & Grill which apparently is a super awesome place to enjoy some good food and breathtaking views/sunsets!

There is something about a lighthouse. The Key West lighthouse and Keeper's Quarters is definitely something fun to see while you're on the island. Opened in 1848, the Key West Lighthouse was looked after by a woman which was unheard of in the 19th century. Of all the lighthouses in the FL Keys, we think ours is the coolest ๐

I find shipwrecks and the stories associated with their demise to be fascinating. Looking out over the beautiful, calm water, I think about all of the vessels that have been there, where they were coming from and going, what goods and things of value were on board, and how many of them still lie beneath in the dark water. Luckily, if you too have an interest in this, you can visit our very own Mel Fisher Maritime Museum for a look back in time at the ships that sailed our waters and the things that have been salvaged from those sunken ships that people have been lucky enough to find. Definitely worth a visit! https://www.melfisher.org
Can you see yourself here? ๐
Hi y'all! Guess what, it's First Quarter Moon Wednesday. I'm sure you all wanted to know that ๐
. It's also the day we are going to feature First Flight Island Restaurant & Brewery (do you see the association of the word first here? I thought it was sort of clever). Anyway, they have some amazing food, a gorgeous garden seating area (especially cool at night), and of course, some awesome beers brewed right onsite, hand-crafted cocktails, and other libations for your enjoyment. Happy hour is daily from 4-6. Check it out! http://www.firstflightkw.com

The outer edge of the island, where you can see the Florida mangrove trees, are signs that read "Walk at your own risk. Many obstacles on trail." These little signs and other obscure postings actually mark splendid trails that may last only 50 yards or 1/2 mile. They take you to swampy areas, tiny beaches, and other public spaces that reveal natural foliage of the island in secluded spots that most tourists don't see. Dirt, asphalt, or boardwalk trails lead to treasures of island beauty tucked away in pockets you wouldn't have realized existed on the island. This little island has so much to offer! ๐๐ฆ๐บ๐
