Yeayyyy I have some great news share. This past week, in the midst of a pandemic, I refinanced my house and got an excellent, excellent rate...2.7!!! 🎉🎉🎉Thanks to my financial advisor, Tre Carruthers of Ameriprise Financial who recommended the mortgage lending company Wallick and Volk. Let me tell you how small this world is, this young man in this picture is Tre’s new agent at Ameriprise Financial and guess what, he is from New Hope which is the outskirts of Columbus...my hometown! His name is Winston T Trotter III and is related to so many people I know in Columbus and New Hope! Can you believe how small this world is? (Give him a call and tell him I sent you😃) But anyway, for years I thought about refinancing but I didn’t want to fill out all the paperwork🤦🏾♀️, but to my surprise, it was a breeze. So glad I didn’t get caught up in those modification loans where so many people lost their homes or were in jeopardy of losing it. Those balloon rates were horrible and many of the loan companies profited and the homeowners lost. One thing my mother taught me was about maintaining good credit, obtaining a great interest rate, making wise decisions when it comes to buying a house and not to add, some common sense!!!! Thanks Mama for the good advice and thankful I’ve made smart decisions when it came to a roof over my head!!! It’s a good time to refinance!
