Don't go it alone series: Today's debacle, customer goes online and buys auto insurance. Initial payment doesn't process appropriately. One week for company to realize the funds were not accepted and another week before customer is communicated to inform the policy was not accepted and canceled flat. Two weeks without insurance, plus now has a 14 day gap in protection. What was a preferred policy now just became a non-standard policy and nearly doubled in price from what they were paying before. Don't go it alone series: A customer's car broke down, so he terminated a preferred policy until the car was repaired (versus suspending it). Therefore what saved him $50 for the month, will now cost him a $140 down payment and nearly triple his cost moving forward. Could have saved him $46 for the month and went right back to $50. A required device must be installed within 7 days, a Credit/Debit Card must be used, an accurate mileage estimate is required to avoid numerous recharges to your card, etc. We spend a great deal of time educating people before they jump in with both feet. Subsequently, we spend equally as much time moving people back out to a traditional program, if they made a mistake that renders it not a good fit for them.
