Lemon Balm, scientific name Melissa Officinalis, is a perennial plant in the mint family. Its oval shaped leaves are often used to garnish culinary dishes and for flavoring of ice cream and teas. With a mild lemon-mint aroma the oils of this leaf are often used in aromatherapy.

It is pomegranate season! This fruit is native to the Middle East and the name pomegranate actually means apple with many seeds. ACEs Aware is pleased to announce that nearly 14,000 individuals have completed the “Becoming ACEs Aware in California” training in the first nine months of the initiative. The data report clearly demonstrates substantial early success in building a network of providers.
