Ashley M. Classen, D.O., F.A.O.C.A. of Trinity Pain Medicine Associates in Fort Worth, Texas earned his undergraduate degree at Baylor University before moving to the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth for his medical degree. Dr. Classen served an OB/GYN internship and a residency in anesthesiology at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. He served an operational medicine tour out of the Naval Amphibious Base in Norfolk, Virginia, before returning to Portsmouth for a fellowship in regional anesthesia and pain management.
Dr. Classen followed this with three more anesthesia fellowships and teaching positions with the University of North Texas and others, and he was ordained to the priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. Dr. Classen currently serves as assisting priest at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Irving, Texas.
A specialist in pain management, Dr. Classen has authored many research papers as well as presenting on osteopathic anesthesia topics at professional meetings across the country. A past president of the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists, Dr. Classen is currently a member of the board of directors of the AOCA.
Away from his practice, Dr. Classen enjoys tennis and competing in equestrian triathlon events.
