With the freezing temps coming tomorrow, here are Five Ways the Cold Weather Can Damage Your Car:
Thickening fluids
In cold temperatures, your car’s fluids — oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, etc. — become more viscous, or thicken, which causes the fluids to move less freely.
Dead battery: When temperatures plummet, your car’s battery works harder to start the car because its starting capacity is reduced in freezing weather.
Tire pressure: In extreme temperatures, tire pressure can fluctuate. In cold temps, tire pressure can decrease at rest and increase when the car is moving.
Leaking: Condensation turns to water, which turns to ice. Ice in the power steering, brake and engine transmission systems can and will cause leaks in high and low pressure systems, when the ice cannot move through the lines and orifices in all major systems
Salty situation: Snow isn’t the only problem drivers deal with on the roads. In order to melt all of the snow, road crews use salt.
Salt can stick to your car’s metal components and, if left there, can cause them to corrode, especially the undercarriage, brakes and wheel wells.

06 Ford F250 6.0 had been previously lifted using leveling blocks, unfortunately the previous repairer left the tail end sagging, 1st pic shows stance of truck before we removed previously installed blocks, 2nd picture shows the difference of the blocks we removed vs the newly installed superlift blocks, we had custom u-bolts made to finish off this bad boy...

As the last day in February comes about it brings me to the end of my first 5 years in business. Tomorrow will be the start of my 6th year owning and operating Triple J Automotive, and to say it's been anything less than a successful run would be an understatement. Twice in those 5 years I was awarded a Top 3 repair shop in the state of Connecticut by the Hartford Courant. Over 10 cars I have built have gone on to win some sort of award at car shows after my completion, but my biggest success yet, has been the continual and un matched reciprocation of appreciation I receive from my customers through reviews on all platforms however google has clearly been my front runner. I am proud of the work I have been able to continually produce for my customers and even more grateful for the heartfelt and honest reviews they leave behind after I am done fixing them. Your words and trust in me is what keeps me and my team at Triple J Automotive motivated to continue to provide the best automotive care and service, unparalleled or matched for many more years to come!
