We will continue to offer TELEHEALTH SERVICES ONLY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. We do not make this decision lightly. This decision is based off the information we have at this point and we believe this is the best decision for ourselves and our clients. We understand this may be a disappointment and inconvenience to some people, but the health of our staff and clients are the top priority for us. If you are interested in receiving in-person services, we are more than happy to refer you to our colleagues in the community who are providing these services.
Therapy is often something people wait to do until everything else has failed to help them. We can work with you at rock bottom or anywhere in between but people find its much easier to get you where you want to be the sooner you can start therapy. Seeking therapy is not a weakness. Asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do and we are here for you! #empoweringwomen #elevatingwellness #becomingbalancednd #therapy #mentalhealth #askforhelp #rockbottom Driving Mom Crazy
A beautiful Monday reminder for all of us! Try to keep your expectations flexible (even in non-COVID times) as things constantly are changing. When we have rigid expectations we set ourselves up for failure because it makes it harder to accommodate when life happens 😁
One of my favorite people shared this yesterday and it really struck a chord with me! I can’t even think of how many times I end up dropping glass balls because I’m so focused on the plastic balls😳. I would love it and find it very helpful (and I know others would as well) if you would share your “plastic balls” that you sometimes allow yourself to drop in the comments.

When we struggle with depression, people can view lying in bed all day as something "bad" for depression. In truth, taking a day to do what your body and soul needs can have amazing benefits! As long as it is ONE day in bed (and not several in a row) and you are doing it because you need it, feel free to have a "pajama day". Enjoy! This!!! Happy as a Mother March 16 at 7:13 PM · Whenever we encounter situations in motherhood that don't align with the expectations of how we thought motherhood should be it can lead to shame and guilt. ⁣ ⁣ We never stop to think that perhaps our expectations of the role are what is failing us, but instead jump to the conclusion that we as moms must be failing. ⁣ ⁣ The expectations that you set for yourself before you became a mother are based on no lived experience in the mothering role. ⁣ ⁣ It is a crucial part of every mothers adjustment to parenthood to reevaluate the expectations they have carried into parenting and reconcile them with the reality of what motherhood really looks like. ⁣ ⁣ This process is one of the key tasks of matrescence (becoming a mother) and in no way means that you are failing. ⁣ ⁣ There are times when my partner and I laugh about our pre-parenting expectations and what parenting would actually look like. Funny ones I’ve heard from other moms are expecting they wouldn’t allow screen time, or would never raise their voice. Others expect they would be happy in their new role and not struggle or that they wouldn't have negative feelings about their new role. ⁣ ⁣ What unrealistic expectations (either serious or funny) did you carry into motherhood?⁣
