Tropix Pools was founded in 1998 when the original owner created Premier Pool Service. After only a couple of years, the company had established a loyal, mainly central Dallas clientele that facilitated an opportunity to expand the business. Premier Pools acquired Sunbelt Pools in December of 2000 and changed the companies name to Tropix Pools. In March of 2012, Tropix Pools was purchased by it’s current owners, Robert and Rachael Hill. Robert is acting President and General Manager of Tropix Pools, and is hands on in the day to day operations of the business. He has an extensive management background in Operations and Business Management, all in the Retail Services Industry. He met Rachael while setting up his previous employers operations in Europe. Rachael owned and operated a wine bar/bistro in England, managing it for 12 years before she came to the USA with Robert in 2006.
Robert Hill decided to enter the pool service industry due to it’s lack of organization, professionalism, poor employee development, and the absence of recognizable and reputable pool service brands. He quickly noticed most pool owners cannot name a good pool service company in the Dallas area. He saw an opportunity to develop a professional service and a superior brand in an under-serviced industry. His belief in customer service, employee development, and a commitment to excellence will undoubtedly lead Tropix Pools to be the DFW market leader in pool services.
