With more than six decades of service to Lincoln and St. Charles counties, the animal clinic has the expertise and resources to provide first-rate pet services. Striving to be more than a health resource for your pets, this animal hospital is committed to treating your animals as members of the family, giving them the care they deserve. July 13, 2020 💡💡 We wanted to give you a little bit of an update on our COVID-19 precautions we are taking at Troy-Wentzville Vet Clinics. 💡💡 First, thank you so much for your understanding and patience. We know this is a less than ideal situation and it is sometimes frustrating for you. We are still offering ONLY curbside service🐾Paws Only🐾 in the clinic. This is creating some confusion since you can see some of your “human” doctors. Keep in mind, those doctors also have the option of doing tele-med but we do not. We need to put our hands on your pet to be able to diagnose since they cannot speak to us. We know you would prefer to be in with your pet and, frankly, we would prefer it as well. While we have a pretty good flow going with the curbside pick up and drop off and the communication regarding your visit with your veterinarian or other staff member, we know you would rather SEE us and we would like to deliver our thoughts face to face as well. From a business standpoint, it is much more labor intensive and puts a strain on our resources. So, with all that said, WHY are we still doing curbside? We know that there is currently discussion in St. Charles County to either close businesses or have a face mask requirement. The 6’ distancing is still in place. If you think about our exam rooms with you, your pet, a veterinarian and a tech, there is no physical way to socially distance in the exam room. We also are not able to socially distance in the lobby. Additionally, there are 3 veterinary clinics that have had to close due to employees testing positive. We feel that remaining with curbside service only is the safest option for our clients and our staff. If you need to get food or medications, give us a call before coming. As mentioned, resources are tight and we want to make sure there is time to get your order together. Then, give us a call from the parking lot when you arrive. Yes, it is sometimes difficult to get through so again, we ask that you be patient. We hope this situation is resolved soon (for SO many reasons) because we miss seeing you in our clinic. We thank you from the bottom of our heart for your patience and continued loyalty. Stay safe and healthy. Your friends at Troy and Wentzville Veterinary Clinics.
