How do you define Self Care?
We encourage people to look at it from a mind-body connection. ๐
Some simple self care strategies we use:
- taking 5 minutes to stretch
- taking a 10-15 minute walk and noticing nature
- putting a warm cloth on your eyes for 3-4 minutes
- giving yourself a quick 5 minute hand massage or temple massage.

Many of us are still with our families day in and day out thanks to the pandemic. And many are finding it difficult to actual connect with loved ones in the home. ๐ช
This series of posts will focus on ways to connect with our loved ones inside the home.
Tip #1:
Sit down with partners and children to create a list of ways you each need and want to connect. Post this list in a place where everyone can find it.
#familyconnection
As we grow up, we develop our vocabulary of feeling words that is unique to our upbringing and environment. Many times our vocabulary is only filled with 4-8 feeling words.
The problem with this is that we don't learn to recognize all of our other feelings.
Lets Expand our Vocabulary a little:
๐ค Google a list of feeling words
โ Pick one feeling word from the list and spend the week noticing when this feeling comes up for you or when you believe someone else has experienced it.
๐ Practice using each new feeling word and add a new one when you can.
