"Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unit that followed 9/11." -President Barack Obama

Show & Tell by Lynne- This vanity is just like one my Grandma had. I lived with her when I was a teenager after my mother remarried. Grandma was my step-grandma, but she treated me like her own flesh and blood. This piece reminds me how kind and loving Grandma was when I needed her most. The pictures are of my husband and I when we were married, and of our newly married son. The floral-pen plant was a Mother’s Day gift from another son when he was little. He rarely wrote but put a note with this gift, so it is special to me. The black rotary phone is nostalgic because I grew up with such phones. All these possessions have great meaning to me and are evidence of how quickly times passes.
