Two Boots serves America’s best pizza from
coast to coast (or just around the corner!). The pizza restaurant’s first
location opened in New York City’s East Village in 1987, and has been a proud
NYC institution ever since. It was founded by Phil Hartman and Doris Kornish,
two indie filmmakers with a shared passion for pizza, beer, and the cultural
and culinary character of New Orleans. The founders settled on the name Two
Boots, referencing and paying reverence to the geographic shapes of Italy and
Louisiana, respectively.
Since the original pizza restaurant opened in 1987, the
business has expanded across the country. Ingrained in the culture of this
world renowned establishment is a thirst for adventure, travel, and discovery. As pizza pioneers, they work hard to find new communities where Two Boots’ fantastic flavors can
be enjoyed by all! The imagination of Two Boots goes beyond their Cajun, vegan,
gluten-free pizzas, and the organic, locally-sourced ingredients that make up
every dish. As an establishment, Two Boots is fiercely committed to the
communities they call home.
The pizza restaurant partners with local organizations like
the Lower Eastside Girls Club in NYC, for whom founder Phil Hartman throws an
annual Two Boots Mardi Gras Ball. Hartman and Kornish use their status in the art
community to partner with local artists, as well. Beck Underwood, for example,
is the creator of the Two Boots logo, several of the restaurants’ iconic
storefronts, and one of Two Boots’ annual calendars. Across the country, Two Boots
is known for cultivating a unique, funky folk art aesthetic and family-friendly
ambiance where diners can relax and enjoy delicious, freshly made specialty
pizzas.
Two Boots is a
dynamic, growing company looking forward to expanding their presence in fantastic
towns and neighborhoods across the country. Bring an appetite to your local Two
Boots or call for the best pizza delivery, anywhere.
