I occurred to me as I was walking from my car to the fly shop today that it is November 2nd. I opened Two Rivers Fly Shop on this date in 2002. It doesn't seem like it has been that long. I would like to say Thanks to all of my customers, friends, and family who have supported me in so many ways to help me reach this 17th business anniversary!
Wild weather at East Lake this week! Cold, sun, wind, snow, hail, thunder, rain. Still caught a few fish. Mostly on Chironomids, but the Callibaetis hatch came off Thursday midday for a couple of hours. The weather and the hatch should improve from here on.
Had a good day at Gold Lake last week. Trout were taking the big winged ants falling out of the trees. Buggers, nymphs and damsels also worked. No mosquitos yet, but I'm sure they are coming soon.
