United Way of Pierce County works from the heart to unite caring people to tackle our community’s toughest challenges. We lead, support and invest in community efforts to ensure all our children are prepared to succeed in school and in life.

The primary focus of our work: young children and their families. We strive to:
• Ensure that all our children are physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively ready to participate and learn in school.
• Ensure that all our children receive the support they need to perform at or above grade level by age 10.
• Help families provide a stable and nurturing environment for their children to achieve the above goals.
