This past summer, the School of Dentistry provided support for the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry as a staging and distribution site of personal protective equipment (PPE) for dentists of Minnesota. Over the course of 2 days, approximately 25,000 masks were distributed along with 20,000 masks to sites in Greater Minnesota.
The Office of Student and Resident Affairs coordinated dental school student volunteers through the Medical Reserve Corps in the Health Emergency Response Office, School of dentistry clinical systems staff provided invaluable help and numerous faculty supported distribution at other sites around the state. #UMNProud

Celebrating Native American Heritage Month.
The University of Minnesota Twin Cities is located on traditional, ancestral, and contemporary lands of Indigenous people. The University resides on Dakota land ceded in the Treaties of 1837 and 1851. The School of Dentistry recognizes and acknowledges the complex and layered history surrounding these treaties. This land acknowledgement is one of the ways we work to educate our patients, faculty, staff, students and community about this land and our relationship with it and each other.#UMNProud
