About

Kevin Lokkesmoe, MD, is a highly skilled physician with a passion for providing compassionate care to the community of Columbus, Georgia. Through his leadership role at Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine, Dr. Lokkesmoe is honored to meet the challenge of assisting patients under challenging circumstances. 
Education has shaped and informed Dr. Lokkesmoe’s life. He studied at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy before moving on to earn his medical degree from Oral Roberts University School of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A residency and internship at Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia, followed. 
Dr. Lokkesmoe is a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served at Fort Benning. Through his medical practice he’s able to continue that tradition of service to others. He’s  contributed his skills at numerous emergency departments in the Columbus area and opened his own practice at Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine.
Since opening those doors in 2002, Dr. Lokkesmoe has had the pleasure of helping thousands of men, women, and children get the care they need in a warm and welcoming environment. He provides a broad range of services, including urgent medical care and more routine medical needs like physicals, drug screenings, vaccinations, and numerous health screenings. 
Dr. Lokkesmoe’s dedication to excellence is exemplified through his board certification with both the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He’s also a proud member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Muscogee County Medical Society. 
When not working with patients, Dr. Lokkesmoe can be found spending time with his wife, six children, and six grandchildren, as well as hiking Pine Mountain and cheering for his beloved University of Georgia Bulldogs.

During the week of October 12th through October 16th we are going to be undergoing some renovations and training. We will be open for drug/alcohol testing only and nurse visits (labs, PPDs, etc) We apologize for any inconvenience.
