Pathology allows Thuy Phung, M.D., Ph.D., to combine both of her passions: medicine and research. The physician-scientist recently joined USA Health as medical director of molecular pathology and dermatopathology. She also serves as an associate professor of pathology at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.

Our patients will be so excited to wear these pretty pink hats donated by Hats For Health. Hats for Health is a group of loom knitters who donate their time and talent to create hats for cancer patients, premature babies and others.
USA Health’s employees were treated to a surprise holiday gift Friday – soft blankets in pretty jewel tones, described by leaders as symbolizing the “warmth and security you have provided to those who have come to USA Health for life-saving care.” Employees at the Mitchell Cancer Institute and USA Health’s outpatient clinics also received their deliveries of holiday meals provided by Louis and Melinda Mapp, who graciously continued the community tradition of showing support for healthcare heroes.
