Starting as a small vacuum repair center with owners Chip and Cheryl Jones, V V C Repair has grown into Virginia’s one stop repair shop. Originally opening June 1, 1987 as Virginia Vacuum Center, V V C Repair has never forgotten its humble beginnings or the wonderful customers that have remained faithful over time. It is V V C’s primary focus to serve their customers with the best quality service they can provide. This commitment to service has inspired their diversification over the years. The development of specialized service departments has grown and changed to embrace the needs of the customers they serve. Since their move from their original building on Indian River Road in 1994, to their current location in the Churchland area of Portsmouth, V V C Repair now includes new divisions of repair, service, and sales in mobility products, medical equipment and floorcare. Their service call area has expanded as well to include northeast North Carolina and the Richmond area. Quality work, integrity, and honesty have been the foundational building blocks of V V C Repair since day one and this will never change. “We believe that maintaining these foundational values will allow us to build a trusting relationship with our customers and friends that will last a lifetime.”
Meet the Business Owners
Chip and Cheryl Jones started V V C Repair in 1987 as a vacuum and sewing machine repair shop. Chip had worked in the vacuum repair field for many years before he and his wife opened their own business. If you ask Cheryl, she will tell you that her husband loves to fix anything and enjoys any new challenge. Their love for helping people and trying to make a difference was a driving force in their decision to step out and become business owners. Chip and Cheryl feel blessed to have watched V V C Repair become the business that it is today and believe it is a privilege to help those who need its services. They would be the first ones to say that it is easy to see Gods encouragement and promises in the history of V V C Repair.
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” (Zechariah 4:10) NLT
